I worked for Sun as Language Specialist for Simplified Chinese language, the owner of Simplified Chinese language and cultural aspects of translation, responsible for providing support services to project management teams and translation vendors on Simplified Chinese language and cultural aspects of translation projects, in order to ensure a translation quality that meets market requirements. The scope of my responsibility covers the followings:

Conducting linguistic review on the translation delivery from Sun’s Simplified Chinese localization vendors, offering correct sample translation when necessary, for vendors to do follow-up modification.

Conducting language quality assessment on translated material /products and providing rating for translation and recommendation for follow-up actions on vendors’side, to ensure the language quality of Sun’s Simplified Chinese localized product releases.

In charge of the whole process of publishing electronically Sun Simplified Chinese product releases to Sun's Product Documentation website.

Resposible for the translation, review, and management on Sun Simplified Chinese general glossary and product-specific terminologies.

Reviewing and approving terminology proposed by translation vendors.

Conducting the software UI (User Interface) and documentation language review in both linguistic and terminological aspects.

Taking on some project managements and providing translation service whenever necessary and needed.
