1)教师先让学生展示自己做的日历卡片，让学生们互相看一看，读一读。然后展示自己的几张卡片(5～8月)，为大家一一介绍，引导学习本课的单词和句子。
2)Talk about mouth.请学生说出有关5～8月的相关信息，比如节日等，引导学生探究学习，并给予学生及时的鼓励。
3)Look, listen and read by themselves.
1.展示教学挂图，播放录音，教师随着录音指示挂图中的内容。
2.T：Do you know what months they are talking about? Please read by yourselves and find the names of the months.
4)Listen to the tape again and repeat.

3)小组讨论。说说自己喜爱的月份和节日，和老师、同学互相展示自己喜欢的月份或节日的照片和图片，并能用2—3句英语进行描述。

1、重点掌握形容词比较级的构成。
2、难点是对新句型 How tall are you ?I’m 164cm.You’re shorter than me. You’re 4cm taller than me .的理解和运用。
三、课前准备
1、 教师准备本课时所需的六张词卡。
2、 教师准备录音机和录音带。
3、 教师准备本单元的挂图。
四、教学过程
1、 Warm-up
（1）教师在黑板上贴上一些人物的图像，让学生分辨Who is tall /strong/old/young/short?，然后让学生回答。
2、 Presentation and practice
let’s learn
（1）教师指着比较高的Tom和比较矮的Wuyifan问Who is tall ?S:Tom.T:Tom is taller than Wuyifan ,用动作来示意学生，帮助学生理解。然后出示taller的单词卡片，示范读taller.
（2）教学单词taller，边说边做动作，学生跟做。开火车合拼单词,小组比赛快速熟练的拼读。帮助学生用tall+er来记忆。简单介绍形容词的比较级第一种情况是在形容词的后面直接加“er”.本课时的几个单词都属于这种变化。
（3）教师用同样的方法教学其他四个四会单词strongerolderyoungershorter
（4）将五张单词卡放在一起请学生认读。男女比赛谁读错或不会读将扣去相应男女组的分数。
（5）教师把一高一矮的学生叫他们站起来，然后说You’re taller than your classmate! 引导学生做出相应的回答：Yes!教师问，How tall are you ?学生答I’m 160cm.学习let’s chant.(听磁带，分句练。)
（6）加强练习、巩固。
3、 Consolidation and extension
（1）做本单元A Let’s learn部分的活动手册配套练习。
（2）抄写所学的四会词组，一个抄两行。
第二课时

1)把月份名称写在卡片上，让S1抽取一张，不让其他学生看见卡片内容。S1不能出声，可以用动作，也可以用口形向大家提供信息，大家猜是几月份。
2)教师课前先制作好一个标有12月份缩写的.圆盘，中间是一个可以移动的指示箭头，如钟表状，让学生分组来转，指到哪一个月，要先用英语读出来，并且再造一个句子，例: May is the fifth month of the year.说对的学生为本组赢得小旗子，哪组旗子多，哪组是冠军。

1)教师把挂图上的日历用纸片挡住，把挂图展示在黑板上。首先让学生猜时间，每次猜一幅图。
What month is this?提醒学生根据图画的背景来猜。如果有学生猜对，教师就及时表扬，同时把遮挡的小纸片拿下来。It's .... You are a clever boy / girl! How do you know it?让学生说出理由。
2)猜测完时间后，教师接着问学生：What is Mimi doing in this picture? What is Micky doing in this picture?每幅小图都问同样的'问题，最后引导学生得出结论：Mimi likes reading. She reads many books. Micky likes playing. He never reads books.
3)教师准备放录音：There is an interesting story about Mimi and Micky.Do you want to know it? Let's listen!放录音让学生听。
4)找一个学生来说说故事的大概内容。教师给以鼓励。

根据《课程改革和新课程程标准》，英语教学要面向全体学生，既突出以学生为主体的思想，又着重学生的个体差异，倡导让学生通过体验、实践、参与和合作等方式，促进语言实际运用能力的提高。要贯彻这些新的教学理念，关键就是要转变教学思想，改革课堂教学的方法和模式，为此，我就六年级英语课改做如下计划。
一、课改的目的：
通过实验，解决目前英语课堂教学中大班上课，学生课堂上实践机会太少的问题，寻找一种能提高英语课堂效益的教学方法和模式。同时，希望通过实验，能激发那些英语成绩较差的学生的学习兴趣，尽量缓和学生英语成绩两极分化严重的状况。
二、课改计划：
1、课堂教学
（1）英语合作教学模式在教学形式上，强调以班级授课为基础，以合作学习小组为基本活动形式；
（2）在教学目标上，注重突出教学的情意功能，追求教学的认识，情意和技能的均衡；
（3）在教学过程中，强调老师与学生，学生与学生之间的多边互动；
（4）在教学评价上，强调标准参照评价，不求人人成功，但求人人参与、人人进步。
2、课改作业：
改变传统的模式，注重培养学生的创新能力和实践能力，如：根据所学内容，拓展思维，编写对话，并此作业给学生在书面上以正确评价。
3、第二课堂活动：
根据新课改精神和各年段不同的'特点，确定英语第二课堂活动计划，此活动可以帮助学生深入理解和巩固课堂上所学的知识，通过课外的语言实践，增加练习听、说、读、写的技能。
三、课改的具体措施：
1.划分合作学习小组：将全班学生按照学习成绩、能力等方面的差异平均分成若干个四人小组，小组内成员有一定差异，但具有互补性，学习小组的座位一般是前后两排为一组，便于学生在课内和课外进行合作学习。由于合作学习小组是由不同水平学生组成的，各小组之间的整体水平基本相同，便于各小组公平竞争。
2.制订合作学习的评价方式和内容：对于在课堂上积极回答问题的，积极参与课堂表演、作业认真、测验成绩有进步、课堂上积极动脑提出一些有代表性问题的学生都给予小组加分鼓励。对于不完成作业，不遵守课堂纪律，不参与小组活动，不遵守小组活动规则的学生给予小组扣分。该成绩将作为为期末总评成绩的依据，占总评成绩的百分二十。
3.合作教学的动作机制与方式：合作教学在动作机制上强调合作、竞争和个体行为的兼容并存，在此过程中强调师生合作、学生合作。
4.课改作业：
改变传统作业模式，注重培养学生创新能力，并就此作出正确评价。根据学生作业情况打出等级ABCD，并且写出简短评语，恰当的作业评语，不但让学生认识到自身作业的价值，而且还能起到促进，鼓励作用，使他们真正看到取得的成绩，存在的缺点和努力的方向。如：对差生的作业要批评，但更多的是鼓励寄语，对中等生的作业要肯定，表扬又要督促，还要提出望，对优等生的作业要表扬，但要向他们提出更高要求。
