As far as I'm concerned,we should look at both sides of globalization.Only when we seize the opportunity of development and meet the challenges can we gain the upper hand in the competition.
篇二：Drunken Driving
It is commonly known thatdrunken driving is a taboo to drivers, for alcohol can penetrate into people's blood, affect their brain and lead to traffic accidents.However,many drivers today drive even when they are intoxicated, either for their personal habits or for business reasons.
Drunken driving can be very disastrous.For one thing, it can bring about disasters to the victims, who are either killed or severely injured in the accidents.For another, it is harmful to the driver himself, and the driver should at least be partly responsible for it.Furthermore, drunken driving jeopardizes the security and stability of the society.
There are many ways to reduce drunken driving.Firstly, there should be a provision in the law to prevent people from driving when they are drunk.Secondly, the mass media should also play a role in publicizing the hazards of drunken driving as well as in educating people to obey the traffic rules.Last but not least, the drivers should establish a strong sense of responsibility for others as well as for themselves. After all, life is the most important.
篇三：It Is Necessary to Attend Training Classes
Nowadays, with the development of the society, it's greatly need the people who master integrated skills, so that there are a growing number of people attend training classes to master more skills to get a good job. However, whether people should attend training classes or not, the answers vary from person to person. As far as I am concerned, it is necessary to attend training classes for the following reasons.
First of all, our society is developing rapidly, and the requirements for jobs have changed gradually. Previously, people can finish their job as long as they master a skill. But now, situations have changed. Computer skill, language ability and knowledge about law are needed for an employee, which helps them go further in their career.
Besides, when we attend the training class, we can meet many people work in other fields. It's a good time for us to know something new about other fields conveniently. And we can get more information about their fields that would be very helpful to our career.
Finally, all of us should hold the idea that it's never too late to learn. Learning is the only way to keep pace with the society and attending training classes may be the most effective way.
From the discussion above, we can conclude that it is necessary and worthwhile for us to attend training classes because of its great importance.
篇四：A rainy day
This morning, I woke up with a start: my clock was alarming. Unwillingly opened my eyes, I found it was 6:30 already.Nevertheless, the room was very gloomy, for it was raining outside. What a cold day! How comfortable it would be if i could stay in bed for the whole day, reading a favourite book in the sound of rain. But, I did have to go to work.
Though it was a rush hour, on the way, there were fewer people than usual. Several yards away, a policeman was guiding the traffic in the rain. I was filled with deep esteem for his seriousness.I kept thinking of today's plan for a short while and,then,I was in my office. 篇五：Practice makes perfect
Practice makes perfect. It means that after plenty of practice, we will be perfect in what we do. Practice is the only way to achieve perfect.
For example, when we learn grammar, words, expressions and so on, the most important thing may be how to put what we've learned into practice. If we only learn the grammatical rules by heart and don't do enough exercises, it is certain that we can't understand them perfectly. But if we practice a lot, maybe we will understand them more deeply and we can find some good methods of applying them. Memorize the English words whenever time permits, and we can easily memorize them and even can find a way to memorize them more quickly.
There is another good example for it. A famous singer can sing very well. Of course, his talent is very important but he also practices singing frequently, probably every day.
If we want to improve our studies and work, we should remember that practice makes perfect.
